        • What is SpamThe Internet is filled with content on a wide array of web pages, blogs, forums and anything else you can think of. While there is content that is extremely useful and enticing, there is also content that is just a complete waste of your time. The content that we are talking about is called "spam" and you may be already familiar with, but do you really know what is spam?

          In case you are not familiar with spam, the spam definition is a disruptive commercial message that is posted on a computer network or sent as an e-mail. It is a nuisance receiving the same message over and over, and it can actually be harmful to your computer as well.

          Spam is flooding the internet with numerous messages that consist of the same content. The intent behind these messages is to try to force a specific message on people who would typically never choose to receive it. There are several different kinds of spam including commercial advertising for products, get-rich-quick schemes or quasi-legal services.

          The benefit of the sender is that it costs them very little to even send the message. In addition, they get there a message across to the receiver. Most of the costs the sender does incur are paid for by the recipient rather than the sender. Therefore, it only makes sense to send out these spam messages.

          One of the most common forms of spam is emailing spam, which targets individual users with direct mail messages. You can prevent receiving this kind of spam with a spam filter or a spam blocker. It will make it so you can keep your inbox clean and free of dealing with these annoying messages. However, there will be some messages that still get through from time to time.

          Because of the current flood of spam on the internet, it really has never been more important to have a spam blocker. It really does not matter what email application you use as there is a spam blocker out there to suit your needs. If you want an immediate solution to your spam problems, it is worth looking into getting a spam blocker or a spam filter.

          If you have been wondering what is spam, you actually just need to know is that it is annoying commercial messages that waste your time. To solve your problem of receiving constant messages, start looking into the various spam filters and blockers that are on the market today.
