Many of these plugins will help you to improve your SEO optimization, to get better rankings in the search engines. Furthermore, most of these plugins are actually used here on the Spunky Jones Blog.

These WordPress plugins were developed by Naif Amoodi, as instructed by Spunky Jones. If you want to learn more about the plugins, just click on the plugin title, and it will take you to that plugin page.

          - Keyword Optimizer -
The keyword optimizer SEO plugin was developed so that important blog post keywords on a website could be optimized using the HTML <strong>, <em> and <u> tags. It allows the webmaster to select the keywords he/she wants to optimize from the administration panel and let’s them assign a limit to the number of times a chosen effect is applied to those keywords.

          - SEO Top Tip -
The SEO top tip plugin displays a customizable tip at the top of the content area just above the first post on the homepage. They can be used to serve a tip to both visitors and search engines alike. Once its installed, and activated, the plugin can be configured from the WordPress administration panel. The webmaster of the blog can set whatever text, he or she likes as the tip to display and at the same time can choose to apply a set of predefined HTML tags and various CSS properties, all from the WordPress administration panel!

          - Display Scheduled Posts -
The displayed scheduled posts plugin takes care of just that. It let’s a user create a page or a post which will display a list of posts that are scheduled to be published with their titles and schedule date. Our latest version 1.1, contains an additional feature which let’s a user mark specific posts as special. The title of a post marked as special is not revealed on the page that lists the scheduled posts and is instead replaced by something user defined. The user defined text can be controlled from the plugin’s options page. The reason this feature was added was to prevent visitors from stealing topics to write about by looking at the title of a post. The owner of the blog might not want to reveal the title of a particular post being published on a given day but he or she might want to inform the visitors that there is (or are) going to be posts scheduled for that day.

          - User Resolution Logger -
The user resolution logger plugin for WordPress lets blog owners log the resolution depth of users who visit their WordPress blog. The logger is programmed to log visitors only once on their first visit. This ensures a level of accuracy of the data being collected. The usefulness of this plugin revolves around making decisions, which might prove to be crucial. It can be used to determine the best width to be used for the website based on the most common resolution depth used by the visitors.

          - Ping List Checker -
The ping list checker plugin for WordPress allows blog owners to verify if whether all sites in their ping list are unique or not. If duplicate entries are found, the plugin will report them and will display the number of times they were found in the list. This will help WordPress blog owners to ensure that a ping service is not pinged more than once.

          - Bump the Schedule -
Many bloggers now days create content for their websites in advance and publish them using a time internal which is usually one to two posts a day or every two or three days. The Spunky Jones Blog is no exception. At Spunky Jones the articles that will be published are placed in a queue using the scheduled posts feature provided by the WordPress blogging platform. Most of the time there are around 20 posts in the queue which are scheduled to be published one everyday. So basically there is one post, which will be published on the 1st of a month, another on the 2nd and so on. Sometimes there arises a need where this schedule needs to be altered. Like the post scheduled to be published on the 1st of a month, I would like to move it to the 2nd, and the post scheduled for the 2nd, I want it moved to the 3rd and so on. This is a tedious thing to do manually, specially if you have lots of posts in the queue. I would manually need to alter the publish dates of every post.

          - Sub Title Plus -
The sub title plus plugin for WordPress provides an elegant method for users to assign a sub title to posts and pages. A sub title can be used to assign a mini description to a post or can be used for any other purpose. The Spunky Jones blog assigns a sub title to most of it’s posts to better describe the post’s content.

If you like our WordPress plugins, please let others know about them by writing a small blog post about your favorite plugin. This isn't a requirement, just a suggestion.
