The meta title puts the primary keyword term at the front or close to the front of the title for SEO optimization and ranking purposes.

You should avoid keyword stuffing your meta title with keywords. The meta title should be readable and make sense, because most often search engines use it as the page title in their search engine results. The goal here is to offer a title that encourages people, via the search engines to click on and visit the web page. - Actually, you should avoid keyword stuffing all together! -

The last item to cover is to use different titles for every page within your web site. Try to make your titles as unique a possible to avoid potential duplicate title content, and you should achieve higher rankings in the search engines. Furthermore, don't expect top rankings overnight and don't forget that practice makes perfect.
