They give you realistic estimates on how many people are searching for a particular keyword across the search engines.

Target Only 3 to 4 Key phrases On A Page:
Do not dilute the strength of your pages by targeting all the key phrases that you can target for. Keep your source code clean by showing only what you want the search engines to see.

Optimize Your Page Titles And Permalink:
Many bloggers spend a lot of time writing from the heart, but do not spend time optimizing their blog's meta information and optimizing their posts for keywords; optimizing means putting your key phrases in the page titles and the permalink. In case you didn't know it yet, search engines like Google place a premium on finding your keywords in your page's meta tags and the permalink page's URL.

On blog platforms like WordPress, you can optimize a post's permalink by changing the slug. WordPress, by default, uses the title of your post as the permalink, but you can change it by editing the slug to reflect your keywords. Even if it's extra effort, optimize your blog posts each and every time. Why? Because you want to tell Google what your blog page is all about so it can bring in your target visitors.

Use SEO Plugins To your Advantage:
Majority of bloggers use an SEO plug-in, which gathers the individual tags of your blog post and uses them as the meta keywords of that particular page. This automates part of your SEO optimization process and saves you time.

Optimize Internal Links Within Your Website:
Take out the broken links and interlink the pages within your blog site. You can do this by adding hyperlinks to previous blog posts. A good linking structure within your blog, makes it easy for the search engines to go spider your site.
