SEO optimization is easier than you think, and those that work on it can easily increase their search engine organic traffic. For most of us that do search engine optimization, it is exciting to watch the web traffic climb upward. However, it is easy to get a little confused when you see that your conversion rates haven’t increased much and/or not at all. The plain simple fact is, that ton’s of targeted web traffic isn’t going to be enough for most of us!
SEO is only half of the equation, because your landing pages must be optimized for conversion for your target audience. Furthermore, there are some factors that need to be addressed so your target audience, don’t click off your landing pages within a few seconds after their arrival.
You need to set a “call to action” and place in your landing pages. However, you don’t want to implement the “shout-at-customer-action” that will drive them away!
Examples of some bad “call to actions” are as follows:
* “Order Today!”
* “Click Here Now!”
* “Hurry While Supplies Last”
* “Your Last Chance to Order!”
* “For a Limited Amount of Time Only”
As you can see, this tactic is very annoying. Furthermore, it will convince most people not to purchase anything from you and leave your site.
In the marketing world, the consensus out there for most marketing professionals is to avoid the following.
1. Popup ads
2. Call to actions that are colored brightly.
It is best to avoid these tactics that pin your visitors up against the wall. You won’t get very far by shouting, But, Buy, Buy, because that marketing method isn’t very effective by any means!
One must not shout at your visitors. You need to relate to them and offer incentives to purchase your products and services.
It is said by many successful people in the marketing business, that you need to offer your targeted audience something of value. This makes for the “call to action” very effective with conversion. Furthermore, it will help establish a trust factor with your target audience in making a positive decision to purchase products and services from you.
Here are some examples of “call-to-actions” that don’t cost you much money to implement:
* “Free Shipping Included with Your Purchase”
* “Free eBooks”
* “Free Gift with Your Purchase”
* “Free Videos”
* “Free Coupons via Email”
As you can clearly see the second “call to actions” are much more attractive to customers. Furthermore, It’s very important to be unique and avoid the standard hook, line and sinkers everyone else uses in their advertising. You are much better off to present your message that is clear and with confidence.
