I am going to blog about the Spunky Jones SEO experience, today. First of all, let's find out what the Spunky Jones SEO experience, is about. A couple of years ago, I set out to help people in the world of optimization. I felt that I could give my readers valuable content, that would help them optimize, their WordPress blogs. This was based on my past SEO experience, for the WordPress blogging platform.
Learning search engine optimization on your own is hard work. There are many bumps in the road to acquiring top search engine rankings. Therefore, this blog was created to help people eliminate those bumps in the road! Furthermore, your SEO experience, should be easy, enjoyable and successful. So, why not take advantage of my experience with SEO?
My goal was to help people achieve top rankings in the search engines. This is done by using ethical SEO methods that comply with the search engines. You won't find any blackhat SEO techniques, available on SJ. While blackhat techniques are effective, they don't last for the long haul. This types of unethical SEO methods are short-lived. Usually, ending up with your site being banned by the search engines, or acquiring severe penalties.
What you will find on this SEO blog, are optimization techniques that proven. However, they need to be used collectively to build your site into an SEO power house! There are many SEO techniques that will get you some high mileage, here on Spunky Jones. Nevertheless, using them collectively "is the key" to turn your site into a massive traffic magnet!
If you want to sell products and services online, you must have targeted traffic from the search engines. This is because search engine users are using the search engines to find something, specifically! Furthermore, the conversion rate from search engine traffic, is higher than bulk traffic. While, Social media traffic does work. However, not as well, because it isn't as targeted.
Over the past couple of years, I was able to help people to improve their rankings. However, most people contacted me, via the contact form for help. Blog comments seem to be a thing of the past. At least, that is my experience, here on Spunky Jones.
I am really strict on my commenting policy. I don't like comments that don't add to the discussion. Therefore, not, many comments are approved. However, SEO is changing and the power of blog commenting. Footer links and sidebar links are depreciated, as well.
If we take a look back at blogging, a couple of years ago. You'll see that many of the top SEO bloggers, quit using, do-follow comment links. Furthermore, many of them, don't allow comments, as well. This is because "generic comments" dilute the content. Search engines are after quality content that is unique and valuable to their end users. Most comments don't have much value to the search engines. Especially, if they are generic that you could leave on any type of blog.
My SEO online experience tells me that blog commenting, is falling by the way-side. I think that guest posting will become the next craze. The search engines are after content. It doesn't matter, who writes it, or on what blog it is published. Therefore, making a guest post is a smart way to increase your overall SEO experience. You get to borrow the authority of the site you publish your article on. Your get targeted traffic from you article, via your hyperlink.
If your article meets the guidelines of the search engines, you'll get decent rankings and Google PageRank. The meat and potatoes of your blog post are, its content. This is what search engines are searching for, these days. Therefore, this is the best placement for a backlink, as well. Links that are in the meat and potatoes area get the most weight, by the search engines. So, give the search engines, what they want, you'll see a substantial improvement with your SEO experience!
I have plans to turn off the comments, here at Spunky Jones. However, this won't happen until, Aug 1, 2011. I know that many people say that a blog without comments, isn't a blog. There again, that is saying "comments" are more valuable that the content. Search engines are searching for quality content, and paying less attention to the comments!
Overall, it is time for bloggers to re-think their SEO strategy. The world of optimization is changing, and we need to adapt to those changes. Failure to do so will cost you time and money, to catch up. Therefore, it's time to make those changes, now.
The plain, simple truth about SEO, its constantly, changing. It is actually merging with Social Media. Do you know that the ratio of people you follow and the people who follow you, is in the SEO mix? Therefore, if you follow 100 people and 1,000 people follow you, it carries weight as far as SEO. Twitter is an SEO factor for ranking! Actually, there are a lot more changes, but I won't get into that, today.
I haven't been posting as frequent as I would like too. However, I have been busy updating old posts, making SEO changes to Spunky Jones. So far, things areĀ working out, as far as, optimization improvements. It is very encouraging.
Did you know that Squidoo and HubPages are particularly effective to increase your SEO experience? The content that you write, doesn't have to be published, "only on your site"!
2011 will be extremely interesting in the world of SEO optimization. How about you, what are your thoughts about optimization, changing? I hope, that your SEO experience, is working for you?
