First off, there is a little truth that the larger your site becomes,  its potential increases to attract more visitors. However, do not run and jump on the band wagon to double the size of your site right now. I suggest taking some time to read this article and then decide if this is an option needed to increase the amount of people that visit your site.

If we take a little closer look at the search engines, you will find that they index sites on a page-by-page basis. Furthermore, the more pages your site has, the more pages the search engines will index. This means that one can easily increase your sites potential and its ability to show up  in the search engine results pages more often. Therefore, will increase the amount of traffic to your site.

However, if you have decided to increase the size of your site, you will need to produce quality pages that are useful to your visitors. Furthermore, do not create pages that lack content just to increase the size of your site. If you do that, those pages might not even get into the search engines index if they happen to be of poor quality.

As you add new content, you should not forget to look at old content on your site and update it. This is necessary because search engines will discard old content and this reduces the size of your site. Furthermore, the need to interlink your pages together to increase exposure is of the utmost importance.

Do not optimize all of your pages for the same keywords and phrases. Furthermore, you should optimize your individual pages for the "page topic" and this will increase your potential to increase your traffic.
