In this blog post, I will explain the importance of selecting an effective blog post title for the benefits of SEO optimization. Furthermore, your blog post will not only rank higher in the search engine rankings, it will also entice your viewers to click the URL link to read the post.
The post title is one of thee most influential factors that determine how your article ranks in the search engines. It is also one of the first items that search engines will look at to determine what the page subject is about. However, don't forget that your page content is more valuable in terms of the overall post. Furthermore, if your traffic mainly comes from the search engines, your title has to be effective to get people to visit your site, correct?
Understanding the importance of the title is a must in order to deliver targeted search engine traffic to your site. You just need to apply some techniques, and you will be able to effectively sell more of your products and services.
There are many factors to consider that influence how well the post is ranked by the search engines. However, I will only List some of the more important ones below:
* Your post title name
* The permalink URL of your post or page
* Your posts meta tags, title, description and keywords
* h1 and h2 headings
* keyword density of the article
* LSI words - "latent semantic indexing"
The title tag isn't really a meta tag. However, it is commonly referred to as, and associated with your description and keyword meta tags. However, the title tag is the most important ranking factor over the three.
It is very important that you include one or two keywords in your title tag. It is best to use keywords or LSI words that are closely related to the subject of your post or page. Therefore, you must think before you react by doing keyword research for the best relevant words that people are searching for when looking for your products and services.
Your permalink is also very important to the search engines for ranking. Therefore, I strongly suggest that you strip out unnecessary stop words from the post URL.
If we query Google for the search term of "SEO techniques"', you will find that about 70% of the first few page results have the keyword term in the permalink URL or at least a partial word of the term. This indicates that the permalink has a positive effect on search engine rankings. Please notice that on the 5th page results, it starts to decline drastically.
As far as the rest of the factors that influence how well the post is ranked by the search engines, I have covered them in previous posts on this blog. Therefore, I won't be covering that in this blog post. Be sure to check out previous posts related to this subject matter.
Hope this blog post was helpful to you, "What's all the fuss about the importance of the blog post title?"
