        • Brainstorming Through Social Networking

        • BrainstormingAs bloggers, this is what we do, social networking is what drives us. In a world of technology, we go to that magical box in the corner and simply type what we want or want to talk about. Yes, but there are other parts of social networking to brainstorm for ideas. Don't get stuck trying to think of topics on your own. Get out of the house and explore!

Friends, family, and co-workers. Start with the people you know. They are your support group anyway and have seen what you are good at and what you are not. What do your friends want to hear about? What do your co-workers like to research? What topics make family members feud back and forth?

Events - Research fairs, entertainment venues, speakers, and local presentations/seminars. You are able to find these in your local newspapers, magazines, and definitely the Internet. Expand your horizons, learn something new, and also people watch.

Volunteer - Doing this holds great opportunity. Volunteering is not only for personal gratification, you are also advertising with people that want to know what you do and why you volunteer. There are several large corporations that volunteer and your opportunity to pick their brain. Not only will you find ideas, this is a great way to expand your social network too!

Social networking is a great resource to generate ideas, especially in blogging. Find what is comfortable for you but also take a risk to do something out of your box. You may be surprised on what doors it can open for you.
