The page title tag plays a very important role that is used to determine the ranking position of your web site in the search engines. Optimisation of each page is a must if you want Maximum search engine exposure out of your content. The trick is to write a cleaver page title that contains your most relevant keywords or/and keyword phrases. Your goal, is to announce your web page content in a summary that gets the attention of your visitors.

Optimizing Your Page Title Tag:
In my opinion, it is more effective to use a short title that contains no more than 60 characters. The reason is that many search engines will chop off the title after 60 characters, and you don’t get your message across to your potential readers. If you intend to use your company name within the title, be sure to include a keyword phrase or keyword term. The logic is, most Internet surfers search for products and services that are specific to their needs. Company names are less unlikely to be used, unless it’s a name brand, they are search for. However, if you must include your company name, it is usually placed near the end of the title tag. This gives you the most SEO value out of the title tag. If you are name branding, then placing the company name at the beginning is preferred.
