Name branding can make all the difference in the world in making or breaking your website. When your visitors view your website, you should have a Favicon that displays in the web browser address bar. The Favicon is also referred to as “favorite icon” and is a small graphic icon, with an .ico extension. They have been around for a very long time, and it is a great way to increase your sites name brand visibility. Even though they have been around for a quite some time, it amazes me of how many sites out there don’t use them.
If you don’t use a favicon, it isn’t a major setback. However, it does help your readers to visually see who you are and, very effective to make your website standout from the crowd. Using one has another advantage, people who bookmark their favorite sites. People are more likely to click on a bookmark that has a favicon next to it than one that doesn’t have one. Remember, a picture is worth more than a thousand words! Furthermore, they are eye-catching and very simple to make and install.
So, are you ready to reinforce your name brand and implant that image in your visitor’s mind? If you are, I suggest that you read my post on, Easy instructions to add a favicon to your WordPress Blog.
