        • - Simple Trick on How to Clear RAM on a Computer Running, Windows XP -

        • Release XP idle processesThis is a very useful and easy Windows XP Tip that will teach you how to release the idle processes and the Clear Ram on a Windows XP based system without the typical system restart.

It is a very common problem that a typical Windows XP computer system will slow down the longer the system is on and running. When this happens and the system slows down, usually doing a simple system reboot, fixes the problem and in a few minutes you are back to normal system speed. However, there is a much better way that saves you some valuable time and doesn't require the typical system reboot. The following information is a very simple trick to clear RAM on a Windows XP operating system, it will release the idle processes which cause your system to run slowly, and the best part is that it doesn't require a system reboot.

          Follow these simple steps:

          1. You need to locate an empty spot on your desktop. When you have located that spot, right click on your mouse and select - new shortcut.

          2. Type in the following, "%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks" without the brackets in the box and click next.

          3. Next, you need to name your shortcut to something like "Clear XP RAM," and click finish.  That's it, you are all done.

Now, the next time your system slows down, just click the clear XP RAM shortcut, and you will be back to your normal operating speed in a flash without that system reboot!
