        • Using Long Tail Keywords Phrases to Achieve Tops Rankings

        • - There are many ways to skin a cat, especially when it comes to SEO optimization -

        • Long Tail KeywordsSEO Optimization is essential and keywords are no exceptions if you would like top rankings in the search engines. However, getting those keywords to rank high is often very difficult than it needs to be. If you can't get your keyword terms to rank that well in the search engines, it is time that you take a look at using long tail keywords. You'll no longer have to fight over popular keywords with stiff competition, and you'll be a lot closer to get your site to rank high in the SERPS.

There is one thing that you'll need to understand about long tail keyword traffic, the traffic volume is considerably less in comparison to short tail keywords. However, if you are not ranking in the top 30 for your main keywords, then you are getting next to nothing for traffic. Furthermore, if you do your math, you'll see that long tail keywords will deliver you more than enough when used collectively.

Even though long tail keywords have mostly been associated with PPC campaigns, they are useful in competitive markets and their performance has equally rivaled organic listings. You will rank a whole lot easier using long tail keywords, when in comparison to short tail keywords. Basically, the competition is not as fierce as the competition you'll be up against with short tail keywords.

          Long tail keyword phrase examples:
          Search engine optimization services
          SEO optimization services

          Short tail keyword phrase examples:
          SEO optimization
          SEO tools

If you compare the two word keyword phrases against the long tail keywords. Usually, you'll find that they are about 25 times more competitive than the long tail keyword phrases. Therefore, it is much easier to rank well in the search engines for three and four words keyword terms.

If you find enough long tail keywords that are in your niche, using them collectively will drive lots of traffic to your site. Furthermore, you won't need to spend as much times doing SEO to get top rankings in the search engines.

In my experience, I found that using long tail keywords in my blog post to be very effective. I get ample traffic from the search engines and rank very well for those blog posts. However, I haven't tried using long tail keyword terms on the main page of my SEO blog. Therefore, I don't know how effective they would be.
