Protecting your visitors privacy is one of the most important tasks that webmasters need to address these days. Your visitors need to know what your privacy policy is, and what you're going to do with their personal information. Not providing a privacy policy can actually be a negative factor, because visitors may use this factor to decide if they are going to participate on your site or simply move on their way.

Below are some simple things which you can do to help reassure visitors and to gain their trust:

* If you plan to use their personal information, then explain to them why and how you intend to use it.
