        • Bloggers, the Pros and Cons of Hiring a Mentor!

        • Pros and Cons of Hiring a MentorThere are many things you must consider when you hire a mentor for your online business blog needs. Starting a blog can be very beneficial, but you need to be sure that your mentor is really helping you. In this article, I will provide some basic information to help assist you in finding an ethical mentor who is focused on your needs and not their needs.

Adding a blog to your Internet business is an excellent way to drive additional traffic and become successful online. The key to a good blog is integrating keywords relevant to the products and services you offer. There are many things that need to be done in order for a blog to benefit your company. These things include useful content that are interesting, keywords, links and more. It is common practice to hire a mentor to help you with your blog.

A mentor can guide you through the process of designing a blog that will work for your business. When you hire a mentor it is an excellent solution. The best way you can benefit through hiring a mentor is by learning everything you need to know. Many people don’t pay attention to their mentor, and they let them do all of the work. When this happens and you are finished with your mentoring, you will have a site but will not know how to do everything. When you hire a mentor you have to treat this as a learning experience and get everything you can out of the mentoring. Take notes and pay attention so you can get as much out of it as possible.

The biggest con of hiring a mentor for your blog is if you hire the wrong person. Some mentors will make promises to bloggers to teach them and build their blog for them. The problems occur when the blog is actually set up to benefit the mentor and not you. Your site needs to benefit you, and you need to know the ways you will benefit. If your guide offers to setup your blog for a better rate if you integrate links to their site through your blog, you should not use them. Don’t allow the mentoring to turn your blog into an advertisement for the mentor.

When you hire someone for mentoring you need to be sure that the focus is on your business and helping you be successful online. They need to worry about your needs and goals and not theirs. The minute a mentor wants to add links or things to your blog about their business, you know you have hired the wrong person.
