        • Becoming the “King of the Hill” of Content Writing

        • Content Writing - King of the HillMany of you have probably heard the phrase "practice makes perfect" and when it comes to writing good content, it truly does apply. If you follow some of the following simple steps, they will teach you patience and to discipline yourself in the way of good writing practices, which is a must of every good writer.

Inspiration plays a crucial role when it comes to engaging your writing creativity.

          1. Avoid writing when you are tired or in a rush.
          2. Take a small break periodically to maintain your mood and creativity level.
          3. Reduce your stress levels up to 30% by looking at the colors blue and green.
          4. Want to change your mood, then take a few minutes and look at some bright and bold colors.

          Why is an outline important?

An outline serves as a guide to assist writers to remember ideas, focus on the ideas, and to rearrange them into the best logical order.

          What is an outline?

For the most part, consider an article outline as a blueprint that gives you all the instructions to write your article. Following an outline will assist you through every single step of your article and assist to keep you maintained on your train of thought.

The three essentials of an outline:

          1. Topic sentence
          2. Body content
          3. Conclusion

          SEO Content:
You should always include some keywords in the body text of your article. A good practice is to be aware of, that you are writing for humans and for search engines. You want your article to look and sound good for your human viewers, this is a must!

          Accessible:
Use good readable fonts and color contrasts so your readers can read your page content without any eye strain. You could have the greatest page content, but if your color contrast doesn't compliment it, you will lose visitors.

          Proofreading:
Run your word processor and check for grammar and spelling errors. Do not totally rely on your word processor as your one only means of proofreading.
Take the necessary steps to create a hard copy to proofread your article for such things as, spelling, grammar and punctuation! It is my opinion that proofreading your own work is extremely difficult and that having a friend or colleague is more effective in finding those typos.

          First Draft:
Take precautions and never post your 1st draft, even if you feel it is perfect. It is always a good precaution to let your 1st draft sit a few days and then review it over again. You could be shocked of what you believed was perfect, and today it absolutely sucks!

By no means do I consider these steps, the only methods to achieve the title of "the King of the Hill." This is intended as a guide to assist you as a new writer to follow an outline, which will aid you to improve your writer skills. Many factors fall into place, practice, hard work and online writing courses to master the skill of writing.
