Getting the most out of your blog content, requires that you organize your archives and display them on a archive page. If you are displaying your archives by the typical calendar approach, it doesn’t provide the necessary means for visitors to visually filter your posts by topics of interest.
You should display a comprehensive archive and list all of your posts, month by month. This tends to be a very useful tool for your reader, especially if they are looking for something specific. It also tends to be helpful for your visitor to find a blog post that you wrote recently, and find older posts that are related.
One of the best solutions that I found to address this issue is, the “Clean Archives” WordPress plugin. It is very easy to install and activate. However, it does require a line of code to be added on the page where you want your archives to be displayed on.
Since the Clean Archives plugin creates such a massive and comprehensive table of contents, it strengthens your SEO. Furthermore, it can also act as a sitemap for your users and the search engine spiders. This is another very good reason, you should use the clean archive plugin!

Additional thoughts:
Offering your visitor’s access to your archives, will also improve your total of page hits. If your visitors utilize the Alexa toolbar, you’ll increase your Alexa ranking as well.
Another plugin that you should checkout is, the “Sub Title Plus” Plugin. This plugin allows you to assign a sub title to posts and pages. This mini description, can also be used to attract visitors and bump your SEO.
Hope this blog post was helpful to you, “Getting the Most Out of Your Blog Content”
