        • Blog Commenting Generates More Traffic to Your Site

        • - However, you must have quality content to complete the process -

        • Increase Web TrafficFirst of all, before you start to comment on other blogs. You'll need to be sure that you have content that doesn't suck! If your content is bad, you'll be wasting your time by blog commenting on otherĀ  sites. Furthermore, you'll end up making yourself look like a complete idiot! Therefore, people won't take you seriously and won't visit your website.

When you blog comment on other sites, you should consider the following:
          * How well the site is related to your blog niche.
          * How much web traffic the site receives.
          * What is the comment actively level of the site.
          * How often the site get indexed by the search engines.
          * If the site have any PageRank.

What you want to achieve by blog commenting is to build up your readership and backlinks from sites that are related to your blog niche.

Leaving comments on other sites that are related to you blog niche is very effective. However, when people land on your site, your site needs to be organized in a manner to keep them there. Otherwise, you'll just get a few clicks out of curiosity. Therefore, you'll need blog posts that are of interest to those that visit your website.

Things to avoid when you comment on other sites:
          * Not reading the blog post before leaving your comment.
          * Posting a comment that doesn't add any value to the blog topic.
          * Don't spam by leaving generic comments.
          * Always being the 1st person to make a comment on a new blog post.
          * Don't comment if you don't have any knowledge on the blog topic. However, asking a question is more appropriate.

If you try to fake it, people will take you as an idiot. This will brand you as a fool and nobody takes them seriously. Therefore, don't try to fool yourself that you can lie, cheat and steal to the top. You'll only end up at the bottom where the crap settles.

The big lesson here is to comment when you have something of value to say. If you don't have any knowledge, then you could simply ask a question on the topic. Asking a question is a good way to participate in the discussion and learn from it. Remember, the goal is to establish yourself as an authority figure in your niche to gain credibility.

          Additional thoughts:
If your content sucks, you'll want to work on that first to improve it. Look at your bounce rate, if it is high, you'll need to work on your content and page layout. Another important factor to consider is how many pages per unique visitor your site receives. The goal is to have a high ratio of pages per unique visitor. Furthermore, don't use blog commenting as your only means of web traffic.
