These days there are so many people who want overnight success and that will stop at nothing to get it. They are convinced that all they need to do is, jump on the backhat SEO train to make their quick fortune. However, if they are in it for the long haul, they will be sadly disappointed down the road.It never fails to amaze me that people believe that they can obtain success overnight, especially in the world of blogging. Furthermore, the bloggers that are successful have spent years working at it, and they don't reveal their big secrets to anybody. If they actually reveled their secrets, it would level the playing field. Leveling the playing field would cost them money in revenue. Therefore, giving up any worthy secrets are highly doubtful, even if you are paying for them! Even if you search the Internet for all the so-called blogging secrets, you'll end up missing some of the most important ones.
You can gather enough free information to get a good solid foundation for your blog, you'll need to work hard to obtain success. However, with that said. You could still fail at blogging. Furthermore, working hard is only part of the equation.
When I was active on the DP forum, I noticed quite a few people who were looking forward to making a fast buck. Recently, I logged back on the forum to see what is going on, only to find that the same people were still bouncing from one plot to another, trying to make a fast buck. It reminds me of a moth that got into your home and flutters to a light. If you shut that light off, it flutters to another light. The moth will keep fluttering to one lamp to another, it's like a never ending story. Some of these people, remind me of that moth! They spend their whole life jumping from one skeem to another. By the way, most of these people haven't changed their ways in the last two years.
It is pretty much the same in SEO optimization, people want top rankings overnight. They want that instant success without working for it. This is sad, and these types of people, I can't help. It is like leading a horse to water, you can't force the horse or mule to drink. People think that if they keep searching, that some day, they will find that leprechaun and the magic pot of SEO. That isn't going to happen, it doesn't work like that way. What you get out of SEO optimization is what you put into it. It is like a savings account. You put money into it, it gathers interest, and eventually you have a nice nest egg.
As I have said before on this blog, you build you SEO collectively, one SEO brick at a time. You simply need to apply ethical SEO techniques that the search engine approve of and wait to gather the interest. You keep working at it, like you would if you were building a saving account. In the world of SEO, there are no tooth fairies, no SEO leprechauns with the magic pot of SEO. It is time to put foolish things behind you, and it's time for Rumpelstiltskin and wake up into the world of reality.
Additional thoughts: There are a few elite backhat masters, that make a lot of money. These people protect their main money making sites and don't use blackhat SEO tactics on them. The difference is, they use a lot of disposable sites that implement blackhat optimization. When these sites are found out, they are trashed and new sites are put up to replace them. However, it is a never ending circle that requires the fox to constantly cover their tracks.
